The golf community is part of the larger East Cobb area which was named Georgia's Best Place to Live by Money magazine in September 2016

East Cobb, with 175,890 residents, is an unincorporated community of Cobb County. This year’s list considered all 823 Georgia municipalities with populations between 50,000 and 300,000. Rankings took into consideration predicted job growth, low crime, strong local economies and low taxes. Also considered was accessibility to health care, culture, "strong public schools" and sports.
