Who We AreThe Indian Hills Civic Association is a voluntary, non-profit neighborhood association, separate from and not affiliated with the Indian Hills Country Club. Member dues are our primary source of funds for the upkeep of our entrances, signage, greenways, and community events. |

What IHCA Does for Its Members
Organizes neighborhood Garage Sales twice a year 
Produces the monthly Smoke Signals newsletter 
Addresses street, tree, and lighting issues with County officials 
Coordinates with local police on security patrols 
Runs End-of-School and 4th of July Parade events
Keeps members informed on County and local issues 
Holds monthly meetings on current and new business 
Maintains the website, Facebook page, and resident database 
Runs the annual Directory cover Photo Contest and voting 
Manages and reports on the budget, investments, and insurance 
Hosts the annual member meeting and voting 
Selects Yard of the Month winners (May, June, July) in all four areas 
Maintains the community events calendar 
Welcomes new residents and encourages membership 
Maintains and places holiday wreaths at each entrance |

 | Indian Hills Country ClubAt Indian Hills, membership goes beyond amenities - it’s about connection. With championship golf, racquet sports, engaging events, and traditions that bring people together, our club is a place where lasting relationships are built both on and off the course. Learn more |
HistoryDeveloped in 1969 by Thomas G. Cousins with golf course architect Joe Lee, Indian Hills has grown from its original 18 holes into 27 championship holes across 300 acres. The club was purchased by a local private management company in 1978 and has since seen continual enhancements. Major projects include a new clubhouse in 2003, a state-of-the-art swim complex in 2009, and ongoing improvements to facilities and amenities. |

Community NewsUnderstanding Cobb County’s Recent Property Tax IncreaseIf you received your tax bill recently, you may have been shocked by the increase, but not surprised, because property values in this area have gone up. However, you may have noticed a change in the millage rate as well. Under Georgia law, tax rates must be reduced (rolled back) to prevent an automatic tax increase when property values rise. However, suppose elected officials wish to raise taxes. In that case, they must invoke a tax increase process, which requires advertising this intention and holding three public hearings to gather input from residents before voting on the property tax increase. Cobb County HEROES!!Since 2013, local community leaders have led efforts to raise funds to honor and thank our East Cobb public safety heroes. In the fall, the officers and staff at Precinct 4 (Lower Roswell Rd.) are treated to a special night out with their spouse or significant other, and in the spring the committee hosts the annual Cobb County Fire Department’s annual awards banquet.
