We are all preparing as best we can to usher in the fall season with a good deal of uncertainty. We don't know where this pandemic is going to take us or ultimately what it will do to us; and we certainly can't predict where the country is going politically or economically. One thing we do know is that the Indian Hills Civic Association will continue making Indian Hills a better place to live; even as we all know it is already a great place to live. Encourage your neighbors to join our Association and become active in growing the Indian Hills spirit.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Susan Fanning, our outgoing Membership Director, for her many years of service to our community. She has been one of our most involved and dedicated members on the IHCA Board of Directors. We will certainly miss her. Of course, she still lives here and we have her address and her phone number so I suspect we will still be communicating with her! When you see Susan, please don't forget to thank her for all she has done for our community.
Welcome to our new Membership Director, Bonny Carr, and our new Area 3 Director, Joyce Shetler. They have both hit the ground running and I am sure you will love having them on our Board. Many thanks to Susan for accelerating the transition and onboarding processes for our new Board members.
Please remember that our annual meeting will be on Zoom, on October 12 at 7 PM. Please mark the date and time on your calendar and make plans to join us. We will email out meeting details on October 1. If you haven't received the information by October 5, please reach out to any Board member.
Be safe, be careful and stay healthy. Thanks for the opportunity to serve.
Harold Itkin, IHCA President
